Mr. Phillip Davis began his physical therapy career in the U.S. Navy in 1997. He spent 6 years on active duty and 2 years in the Naval Reserve, during which time treated military members and their families, but excelled at rehabilitating high level athletes and Navy SEALs. His passion for sports rehabilitation lead him to be selected as the head of athletic training and rehabilitation for the Navy and Armed Forces volleyball teams. After completing his military service, Phil returned to school at the University of Southern California to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Phil is an expert in movement analysis, and has studied human running and walking gait extensively. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is full-body certified in Active Release Technique®, a soft-tissue treatment system. He treats patients of all ages and activity levels. Since moving to Austin in 2007, Dr. Davis has developed a zeal for triathlon. Outside of work and training, he enjoys spending time with his dog on Townlake and Auditorium Shores, as well as trying new restaurants
